New member - hello & thanks
Hello to all and start by saying a great big thank you. Before even buying I came on here and did lots of reading and research about the various issues and what to watch out for. It was a god send.
Whilst trying to find a car, I've certainly found many of the issues i read about and that led me to finding what i wanted. A fairly sound car with a little bit of bodywork to sort but with lots of potential.
I have always wanted a V8 project car and finally got one a 2000 X308. (not sure if its sapphire blue or pacific blue yet .... but it is a lovely blue)
I had to drive it back home which was 150 miles or so and can say i was smiling all the way. Loved the power, smoothness and comfort. The roads in the UK are not the best, but feel much better in a Jaguar!! I've called it wafting. So i'm not really doing much to the car as planned yet as i'm wafting around enjoying it!

It sounds like you've already found your way to the X308 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
There was nothing showing under your forum signature in our Moderator Control Panel so I've entered the basic details and this will appear withyour next post. If you want to make changes, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Welcome staffsbull, carry on wafting.
The comfort factor of the cars was one solid reason I bought a Jaguar and they are very comfortable.
I'm sure your roads are as bad as ours down here in the midlands.
