New member intro
Well this is my second visit to this website having a bit of trouble navigating around I was able to put in my personal info. But now be darned if I can find how to put my cars in the garage.
Just a little bit about myself. I retired from the motion picture industry in 2002, after 30 years in the transportation side of the business so you can imagine, vehicles, especially cars. Have a great interest for me during my stint in the movie business, I was involved in lots and lots of different cars, mostly Martin, but then there was the times I worked on. Movies where we used a lot of old classic cars, I loved those movies. So now I'm retired, living in the Pacific Northwest do bit assailing looking in to older cars. Have had a myriad of cars over the last 50 years, including a Mercedes SEL 560. But I must say, my present car is my favorite of all times, is my 1996 Jaguar XJ6L I just recently acquired a 1994 Vandan Plas XJ12, which I drove up from California a week ago, and the performance was stellar. The amazing thing about this XJ12 is it sounds like an electric car just purring along the highway (16 mpg). Unlike my XJ6L , which on a 4000 mile trip in August was 22 mpg, oh well, you can't win them all.

Welcome aboard Harold!
Be sure to pop into the Pacific Northwest part of the forum and say hi there too!
Right now, the holiday season has us all occupied so posts are kinda dead over there, but come springtime you can bet we will be putting together some great gatherings and group drives! Look forward to seeing you and your Jag someday soon!
