I've really been enjoying this great resource and thank all for their time and efforts to help out the community. I'm a hobbyist mechanic from Pennsylvania and have recently purchased a 2000 xkr convertable. Unfortunately I only got to drive it a few times until it became evident that it was sold because of a head gasket issue. I'm in the midst of the teardown now and will surely be frequenting the forums. Thank you all again for the help thus far and the encouragement to take on this task.

 

Whenever someone decides to sell a car, there's usually a very good reason, maybe more than one. Unfortunately, they very often aren't up front about that reason.

When we bought my Jaguar we knew about some of the things wrong, but not until I started actually addressing those things did I uncover all the Other things wrong.

I hope your repairs go smoothly and quickly, and your kitty is back on the road so you can enjoy her again.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
