Smile New member intro from metro Atlanta

Greetings! I am helping my nephew get his first car and it is a 2006 Jaguar S-Type 4D Sedan 3.0L with no accidents. The plan is for me to own & insure it.

This car last ran in late 2022 and was said to be stopped by rodents that chewed on its wiring. I have brought back inoperable cars before for family use, but they were a Chevrolet Camaro and an Audi A4.

Thus, I really need your help to get this beautiful vehicle back on the road!

Question #1: What is the recommended battery for a 2006 S-Type? I have seen CCA numbers from 800 to 900 - both AGM & Flooded as well as Group 49 & Group 93.

THANK YOU - Rich from metro Atlanta, GA

Hello, Rich,
Congratulations to your nephew on his new Jaguar S-type!
Members of our S-type section will be happy to help you get this back on the road.

And then, if rodents are a problem in your area, put some moth ***** in the glove box to repel them. You don't need so many as to gag passengers, just one or two will do as rodents are far more sensitive than people to those chemicals and stay far away.

As they're very smart creatures, once they declare an object off limits, None will take up residence for Years to come.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
