Hi all joined a while ago but never posted so guess it's about time I did.
My name is Pete.
I run a small flooring company in Leicester England (although retirement is looming) with my better half Lynne
I have always always loved Jags. To the point that I have the same name either jagmad or with the xkr added on all forums. That's including poker (which I play most weekends with Lynne who also love jags).
The tennis forums (big fans of Davis cup) also the NEWDWF forum that's a place where digital watch nuts get together and show off their catches and how to fix/repair them. Of which I have done many. Lynnes not so keen on those. LOL
Bought 1st Jag 1991 A 1978 series 2 Red on red manual with overdrive and sports suspension. A rare beast I believe. From then on several series 3's.
Then the 1st XJR a X300 1995 metallic blue with ivory interior and unusually chrome around the windows (sovereign-esc) only one Iv'e ever seen.
Then came the 2004 XKR-s in metallic Red Ivory interior. Bought her just for 6 months fun sold her 5 years later due to new grand kids on the way.
Bought 2003 XJR same colours as the x300 5 years ago for a song still have her. Best car we have ever owned.
With the grand kids getting older the wife decided to treat us to our new dream a 2008 XKR in Whisper grey with ivory interior and walnut. (spotted the pattern here?)
We are off on a jaunt across Europe with circuit days at the end of the month and have the dilemma of which Jag to take, decisions, decisions!!
I have used the forum a few times to glean incite and thought it might be time to give a bit back, although my main issue for some time has been aux input on the XJR that has premium sound but no sat nav. Just two lcd screens one for climate and one for radio???
Another odd ball???
Anyway that's us hope to join in more from now on.
All the best Pete N Lynne

Welcome to the forum Pete,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/ to the X150 forum for help, advice and information. 2003 was a model change year so I can't tell if your XKR is a late X308 or an early X350 ......
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

We looked at the list of cars going and if we go in the XJR I had a bet with Lynne that there'd be a few wanting to swap keys after the first two or three days. It's quite a few miles in a short time. (sore)
