Hey all, new to the forum. Got my 2017 f-type back in august 2016 and love it with one exception. Every time I go to fill the gas tank, it shuts off after a few seconds. I have to stand outside and keep holding readjusting and readjusting the pump...it's INFURIATING. Any advice???

Welcome.

No idea of the set up in the States, but down here, some pumps are just too fast at full trigger, so a partial trigger usually works.

Slower, I know, but less "clicks" per gallon.

Welcome to the forum Jane,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Jaguars have long been sensitive to high delivery rate fuel pumps. On full flow this can be faster that the filler pipe can clear into the tank and it backs up tripping the pump cut off to avoid a spillage. Here in the UK, the 'lock' feature on pumps allowing you to set them running and walk away was removed many years ago for safety reasons. We get used to reducing the flow rate on the trigger which gets over the issue of cutting off. US members in the F-Type forum may have tips to get over the issue.

Follow this link F-Type ( X152 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the F-Type forum for help, advice and information.

Hello,
As others have said, you might have better success filling the tank if you only go about 'half throttle' on the pump. My Sonata requires that or I have the very same result you're getting. It takes a bit longer maybe but isn't Nearly as frustrating.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
