Hello everyone!
I thought it was time to introduce myself, my name is Peter, I'm from Sweden and I've been watching this forum for a long time.
I currently own a - 96 XJR that I'm planning to use as a donor for my - 74 XJ6 SWB.
The second car I bought, when I was about 20 years old, was a XJ6 3,2 - 97 (had around 14000km on the clock) . I had it for about 8 years and it was amazing, only a few glitches and I took good care of it. The car ended up on the scrap yard when i hit a deer and the insurance company claimed it with some small dents and broken headlights, a real shame. But I got payed more for it than should have, and for the money I bought a - 74 XJ6 in great condition, but without an engine and gearbox. I looked for about a year and found a cheap - 96 XJR with not too much miles on it (19000km, they start to get rare around here).
So now I'm working to get the XJR engine in good condition before putting it in the - 74. I have two small children and not a lot of time, so it's a slow process.
Looking forward to get some good ideas from here!
