Default New Member lost in cyber space

Hi, I'm not great with web sites so please be patient. I presently own 4 jaguars; buying my first in 1986 ('73 XJ6) which I still own but has become a parts car although it is still restorable into a runner. I also have a '67 3.4S (S-type), '75 XJ6C, and a '01 XJ8. I have previously owned a '77 XJ6L, and an '82 XJ6. I both provide service and advice since I now have over 25 years of tinkering and professional service experience. Most work that I do is on 1970's or earlier Jags and British cars relating primarily to electrical, fuel, and braking systems. I attempt to rebuild all original/stock equipment and components if possible. specializing in electrical motor/pump repair/rebuild and carb rebuild. I am looking for advice concerning my newer vehicle and would appreciate any input your forum can provide.

Welcome to the forum casualcat,

You've been steadily working your way through the Jaguar model range!

For your newer vehicle, follow this link XJ ( X308 ) XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US Lower Atlantic Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/lower-atlantic-nc-sc-fl-ga-66/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Just trying, but I don't know what to do. An engineer without a solution.

Default My cars are stock

My cars are stock, enough said. Sorry but I am not here to brag nor impress; merely to provide and receive advice and/or parts to and from the general Jaguar ownership continuum.

All I can say is I'm a single guy whose very first car was a Jag and I still enjoy working and driving them.

I'm probably not your typical owner who has scads of money, so I'll probably not fit in with your general forum, but if there is someone out there who is like me then I appreciate your interest, advice and opinions.

I am a very late comer to this whole online thing since I've been doing this for decades without all this supposed online access to "all the things I ever wanted to know about my cars" type of network.

I have direct contact with very experienced Jaguar mechanics who have never heard of this site. Mechanics who have hired me to work on their personal Jags as well as their customers although I am not an ASE certified mechanic. Oh well, I've tried.

I hate to say it but the ridiculous symbols are only an indication of someone's inability to get their point across using proper grammer and it only trivializes the site into social chatroom/texting enviroment. I am trying to deal with serious and knowledgable owners/technicians.

I appreciate that people like the mark but I seem to be once again on the periphery of this cabal although I have probably have driven, owned and personally/professionally maintained more models than the vast majority of your forum subscribers, as well as being loyal to the brand since THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DRIVEN FOR 27 YEARS. Any takers after this mild tirade?

Lost in cybermud!

Oh well; so long all you cat lovers. I can only figure out how to reply so I won't be of use to any of you. I guess you can reply until I'm kicked off this site.

Thanks,

Neal Stoll

By the way; what's up with rabbit with the pancake on it's head-yes I'm confused even about that!

Neal, if you want to start a new thread, click on any section title from the forum main page, Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum - Powered by vBulletin and there will be a black button at the top left of the page marked "new thread" click on that and you are on the way.
"Scads of money" I think you will find the reason that most owners are here is because they don't have bags of cash to throw at their cars.
If you don't think we are on your level I'm sorry, but I believe that you are seriously underestimating many of the forum members.

Hey Neal, don't see any reason why you should be kicked off this site?

I hope you persevere and feel that you may yet enjoy the experience........We may not be able to help you too much with your years of experience, perhaps you can be of help to us?
