Hi! My name is Yan and i'm from Montreal, Canada. I just bought a 2014 f-type for a road race project. Car is a US car and was flooded and totaled by the insurance. So far it seems like a good deal, the car start, idle and rev like it should and car shift from 1-2 and goes to reverse like it should. I did not get the opportunity to drive the car on the street since I do not have a clear title. Only issue so far is passenger side power window and both power seat not working and stuck driver side rear caliper.

The plan for the car is to strip the whole interior and install a roll cage. I'm not 100% sure yet which way to go with the powertrain yet. If I do not have any issues with the engine or transmission I would be more than happy with the supercharged 5.0. I don't wan't to throw more money than the value of the whole car by trying to fix expensive engine repair and electronic issues and may just swap a ford coyote engine if things don't go like it should.

So I have tons of questions, the reason why i'm subscribing to the forum.

Other plan is to adapt a manual T56 transmission, convert the steering and rack to a more track friendly belt driven pump.

Hello, Yan,
Congratulations on your new F-type Jaguar Racing project!
It doesn't take very long to sink Way more than a car is "worth" when doing Race Preps. Enjoy!
