Hi, glad to have found this place. I just bought my wife our first Jaguar, a 2005 S-type 3.0 in Zircon with 60,000 miles. We are impressed with the features for the price, and she loves the color. Any advice or maintenance tips are welcome. I do my own work whenever possible. Thanks!

Hello, I also live in NC, Salisbury...we have a '97 XJ6L that is now in the shop. We are attempting to discover why the engine sputters and quits when you accelerate from a stop, or attempt a sudden acceleration from a steady speed. Alas, frustrating.
Nice to meet you on the forum.

Default This forum is great

Looks like the forum is already paying off. The headliner sagged when I opened the sunroof, but a quick search here informed me of the cause and possible fixes. Thanks, everyone!

Welcome fellow S Type brother and Carolinian! What part of NC are in?

Be sure to read this link for the common problems with our '05 S Types. Some guys have really provided some great DIY info here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ype-faq-41364/

Also while reading the S Type FAQ look for IMT O-Ring check. That should be part of your regular maintance.

Default Thanks everyone

Thanks for the tip joycesjag, I will look into that. The dealership (and the salesman's business cards in the owner's manual) indicate this Jag came from South Carolina. They said the man drove up here to trade it in for a Corvette.

I live in Goldsboro, about an hour east of Raleigh.
