New Member from New Mexico!
Hi everyone,
New member from Albuquerque, NM!
Always been a big Corvette fan having owned a few over the years and the new gen Corvette Sting Ray definitely has my attention given its tremendous performance and unique styling for the price. I also owned quite a few American muscle cars along with the usual German and Japanese sports cars but never owned a British car (although previously owned and currently have a couple of Range Rovers).
Outside of an E-type or more recent versions of the XKR, I just never really got too excited about the Jags…but then came along the F-Type. So I have been spending a lot time doing the usual apples to oranges comparisons depending on whether I care to be more practical or not (Corvette, Porsche 718, Audi S5/S6, Shelby Mustang, BMW M/4-Series, or even a Maserati Granturismo). I finally came to the conclusion that since this is not going to be my daily driver, damn the practicality…lol. The F-Type offers the most in overall exclusivity with stunning looks, relative affordability (including dealer servicing), and fun to drive factor!
Oh, I actually fit better in the F-Type than the new Corvette; decision made…lol!
Anyway, hope to be a contributing member here soon!

Cool that you have been out West! I have yet to get to Germany but it's on my bucket list; can't wait to attend a real Oktoberfest...lol.
Thanks man, really appreciate it!

Sooooooooooooooooo excited; picked up my 2014 Jaguar F-Type V8 S today with only 5500 miles on the odometer! My gosh, this thing is wicked fun and so dang fast. My wife didn't want to drive it since the car intimidated her but I coaxed her into it when we had to go back to pick up my truck from the dealer. It was too funny as she was grinning ear to ear driving it home by herself especially after I put the top down. We pulled into one of the local breweries for lunch and you can hear people on the outside deck asking "what the heck is that" or "look at that car". Of course I had to do a quick blip of the throttle and got few "oooohs and aaaahs" too...lol. Way too much fun!
Details; fully loaded British Racing Green Convertible with Brogue Leather interior, Performance Pack, Premium Pack, Vision Pack, Climate Pack, Carbon Fiber (hood vents, fender vents, mirror caps, and roll bar hoops). 20-inch Black Cyclone Alloy Wheels with Red Brake Calipers. Clear Bra.
The BRG with brogue leather performance seats and same leather on the doors and up the dash is absolutely stunning; very rich looking and seems very well suited for its original $104K MSRP sticker. The BRG with the black center console, carbon fiber trim pieces, and black top, and black wheels looks great. Unfortunately, I was having too much fun driving around with the wife and then my teenaged kids to take any pics before dark, so will try and post some soon in the F-Type thread.
So looking forward to this!
