Good Day all ! Just joined, freshening up my 1985 XJ6 Vanden Plas that has a chevy 305 upgrade with 4L60E transmission. Frame off restoration about 40k miles ago, currently 98k miles. Looking for way to improve cooling system...two pass, add an expansion tank (how?), etc... like to drive it daily...runs like a dream...I have alot of experience in the 1985, 86, 87 XJ6 line, this is my fifth one...first with chevy motor...like the power... look forward to talking to you and working projects! I also am familiar with BiTurbo/Spyders!

Welcome to the forum kfisher. For tech questions hop over to the XJ6 section. I know nothing about chevy setups, but I would have thought that the original Jag system was man enough for the job.

Welcome!
A few years back I had an ’85 XJ6 with a heated up Chevy 5.7 Tuned Port/700r4. (Aluminum heads, bigger cam, ect.) I had some hot running issues with the stock Radiator. What I replaced it with was stock replacement rad from a late Eighties Camaro/Firebird V8. Its an aluminum core, plastic tank, inexpensive and is almost a direct fit. It cooled the 350 just fine using the stock GM twin electric fans. Then you can also use OEM Camaro/Firebird upper and lower hoses too.
