New Member - Paint Problems F-Pace
Hi Folks
I am a new member to the Forum I have always admired Jaguars and eventually bought one a XF Premium Luxury Indigo Blue in 2013. I enjoyed the car I had previously owned a variety of 4X4 vehicles Mitsubishi, Land Rover and Nissan then the F-Pace came on the market.
I traded in my XF for a MY17 2.0lL T/D F-Pace Glacier White-Metallic, Roof Rails Gloss Black, Tow Hitch receiver, 22" Turbine 9-spoke Grey Diamond T wheels, key-less entry, sliding panoramic roof, premium carpet mats, blind spot monitoring reversing traffic detection, black pack, fixed side steps and roof cross bars, in June last year with my local dealer on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. After about one month I noticed some defects, about 6 in the paint work. I reported this to the dealer and promises were made to have them repaired under warranty. As time went by I began noticing further defects in the paint work, about 19 in total on both sides and the tailgate. Time marched on and nothing was done after further contact with the local dealer on the 19 February 2018 they took the vehicle for rectification to the Jaguar nominated expert repairer. The repairer attempted rectification and the process failed and it was recommended that the vehicle be resprayed as the only solution to being a satisfactory repair. Jaguar disputed their own repairer and his processes and hired an alleged expert from an International Company and accepted his process of rectification, which was the same as had previously been attempted by their own expert and had failed. Now we all know that any person who tries the exact same process twice and expects a different result the second time is a fool Their alleged expert failed to outline his qualifications or on what facts he based his knowledge to become qualified as an expert over the qualifications of their repairer who operates a business as the one and only repairer nominated by Jaguar in the city of Sydney. As of today it has been four (4) months that the vehicle has been sitting idle in the repairer's garage while Jaguar procrastinate over the repairs. They have shown they lack honour nor do they demonstrate good will by hiring an alleged expert to contradict their own appointed expert so they can abandon their responsibilities under the terms of the explicit warranty propagated throughout the world in their publications.
