Hello all.

Recently bought a 2010 XF - my first Jaguar.

Found the forum as I was searching around looking for how to deal with a TPMS issue on the car. I found a link leading a great write up on this site of how to change a faulty module. The description of the issue matches up exactly as I am seeing - random and intermittent check tyre pressure warnings, despite pressure being fine.
I'd be happy to change the module, but they don't seem to be available at a reasonable price, and I don't really want to get a used one as it may well have the same issue.

I then started down the route of whether it is possible to disable the TPMS warnings, and saw it mentioned that it is possible. I check my tyres and really don't need a system to let me know if one of them has deflated.

Is there anyone in South Wales area (or west of England) able to do this?

Thanks very much in advance.

Ed.

Hello, Ed,
Congratulations on your First Jaguar!
TPMS was added to most modern cars because the "Average Driver" gives NO thought to maintenance of any kind.

They treat their cars like kitchen appliances, expecting them to just go and go and go with no more care than they would give their toaster, In fact, they might take better care of the toaster that cost less than $100 than they do their car that cost $100,000.

You might need to start changing out the tire sensors, as their battery life expectancy is about 10 years. Anything after that is a Bonus.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
