New Member from S. Marin - California
My 2016 F-Type MT Coupe safely emigrated (enclosed truck) from Detroit (A British Car in Detroit - I thought Ford quit?) 2 weeks ago.
Yesterday Gas Cat successfully navigated the non-electric car hating People's Republic of California DMV to become a fully legal and registered citizen of California.
Along the way I've already experienced up close and personal the discharged/weak battery issue and am thankful for all the information I gleaned here on the Forums. Happy outcome as the local Marin dealer replaced under warranty while I waited at the end of the day and w/o appointment.
Now learning all about the front license plate debate as CAT's first owner didn't mount a front plate.
Happy to be here and enjoying my first Jaguar. My father and grandfather both owned Jag's back in the day - miss sitting in my dad's XJ as it slowly warmed up and he gradually worked the choke only to have it stall out as he tried to pull out of the driveway! My grandfather's Mark IX suffered a sad fate as it ended up as a storage shed for fertilizer - was great to play in as a kid though!
My intro to British cars was a 1979 TR7 - enough said.
