I just joined this forum, looking forward to getting involved with some of my fellow Jaguar brethren/sistren(?)
Anyway, I bought a 2004 XJ8 Base model for a steal, the car's in remarkably good shape for the high mileage it has (150k), and is a joy. Until last year, I had never had an opinion one way or the other about Jaguars, but then I bought a well used 1999 XJ8 in light green and fell in love with the brand. Unfortunately, the tranny on that car died, and it way too many other issues to consider fixing. But I was hooked, and found this '04 model and am happy as a clam! I think I prefer the XJ308 style better - you can definitely see the Lincoln LS heritage in the XJ350 - but love the mechanics of this one, for sure!
