Default New member seeking help :).

Hello I'm Dan.

I have just purchased 2 front seats from a Jaguar XJ 3.2 V8 Executive from 1999 and would like to make those seats into a very stylish office chairs.

My real question is how is it best to supply power to the chair so it can be fully operational once set on its new mounting, I have a 12v 20ah battery but really need to know what pins need power etc ( seat wiring diagram ).

I wish I could write a lengthy blog about myself but honestly guys I'm not that interesting and have no big story to tell ...just need alilttle help powering these seats.

Many thanks for taking the time to read this post and look forward to any replies.

Once again cheers
Dan

Welcome to the forum Dan,

You need the XJ 1999 Model Year Electrical Guide. As a newbie, you can't download attachments from the forum but you can download it free from my MediaFire account:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/2b21ol...Guide.pdf/file

See section 12 for the seat schematics.

Good luck.

Graham

Hey !, yeah Graham has put me on the righteous path. In fact i plan to make this a small business from it abit like here

https://driverseatoriginals.com

This site is in the US and so is its base operations so as you can imagine shipping is out the question to the UK or Europe, hopefully thats where i can slip in. But for now i would like to build one for myself, my son and father to see how the whole process rolls out.

cheers
Dan

What a welcome !, thanks alot. It's a wealth of information and knowledgeable people here and I'm so glad of that because after going through wiring schematics ( head scratch) I'm going to need them . I will know more when I get the seats out Monday and start full investigation.
