Hello,
Ret. Navy Man. Very bad arthritis...freakin everywhere...I started with a 1984 "German" 500 sel with 4 wheel SLS suspension and every option offered. It took me 16 months, she's beautiful and original even the paint. So I have always loved the "lines" of vintage jaguars. I will never own a XKE, so I saw this 1974, titled as a 1973??? on a truck headed for the "crusher". I live 1/4 mile from a large metal recycler in S. Phoenix, AZ USA. Saved it and, OH MY. Who would crush this! 2 Questions, uh How fast can we make this go? I have access to some of the best vintage car parts in the world, with the salvage yards here in this part of town, tons of stuff from Calif & AZ and holy vacuum system!!! Greg

Welcome to the forum Greg,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Jaguar introduce the new Model Year in late August/September so your 1973 registered XJ12 could correctly be 1974 Model Year specification.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj6-xj12-series-i-ii-iii-16/ to the XJ6/XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-southwest-az-tx-nm-ok-37/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
