im allison and a new jag owner, currently living in Lockport, NY. about a week ago i purchased a 1976 XJ12. originally was searching for a 57 bel air but had no luck for what i wanted to spend, so ended up going on a jaguar search. best decision, i am in love with the car. it is in beautiful condition so i am rather excited. all that needs to be done is break lines and it also needs a new alternator. it was in storage for over 20 years so it only has 32,000 miles which was a huge plus. i know i will run into other problems obviously. i can do basic things with cars but other than that im car dumb, hence my joining the forum. looking forward to chatting

The XJ12 looks good.

As Norri says, Jaguars can take some TLC to awaken from a long sleep so be prepared for a few issues at first. After 20 years storage, check those tyres. They may have plenty of tread but rubber ages with time.

yeah i just purchased some new tires, they were dry rot to basically nothing. the TLC and money will be well worth in the end though
