New Owner and Member
Hello,
My name is Mike. I am a new owner of my first Jaguar. It is a 1999 XJ8L, I've been enjoying it for the past couple days as I purchased it in Napa, Ca.. I've have been reading the forum posts for the past couple days also to get myself better acquainted with these beautiful cars. I have had a couple learning experiences, such as tripping my CEL after using a drive through car wash. I'm sure I'll learn all the do's and dont's as time goes on!

Welcome to Jaguar Forums
Welcome Mike ... and greetings from a fellow enthusiast in Australia.
You obviously enjoy the XJ8L ... what a great drive! I do encourage you to jump over to the XJ8 model specific section where there is plenty to read and absorb ... also, to visit the regional section shared by other members in your area ... and finally, add your car details to your signature as a permanent flag to enable other members to offer accurate advice ... from Main Menu, click <User CP> then <Edit Signature>.
All that remains is to dive into the forum ... and enjoy!
Best wishes,
Ken

You're absolutely right, these cars have a personality all their own. You'll get the hang of yours in no time.
