Not so new member
Been a member for a couple of years but never posted. I have always been a Jag man though having grown up in a Jag family. My Dad owned around 10 different versions in the 60's and 70's. I have personally owned an XJ6 2.8 and 4.2. 1970 ish models and a 1986 XJS V12 HSE.
Recently bought a 2004 S-Type 4.2 V8 and love it so here I am and hope to be able to contribute something to the forum.

Welcome gt40 ... and greetings from a fellow enthusiast next door in Australia.
The S-Type is a great drive and I encourage you to jump over to our S-Type model specific section where there is plenty to read and absorb ... also, to visit the regional section shared by other members in your area ... and finally, to add your car details to your signature as a permanent flag to enable other members to offer accurate advice ... from Main Menu, click <User CP> then <Edit Signature>.
All that remains is to dive into the forum ... and enjoy!
Best wishes,
Ken

Thanks for all the welcomes and advice. I spend a lot of time on vehicle forums and I am sure this one will be as rewarding.
I have been reading and absorbing as much as I can. Pity the car only has one fault. Drivers seat problems. But I will do the research and if I fail to fix the snag I will be asking the gurus in the S-Type section what to do next.
