Smile An intro from DownUnder.

Hi all, I havent been on a forum for a few years & am a bit rusty so plz excuse any fumbling of ettiquettery! I just now/today took delivery of a 2004 XJ8 sight/unseen from the other (NZ) Island. Said goodbye to a '57 Daimler V8-250 & just took my first drive in my 'new' white Dreadnought ~ what a gorgeous delight she is too! Over the years I've had a procession of Jags, Rovers, Beemers etc etc . ... but this thing is by FAR the very best yet (I wonder what other later delights await?).
Anyow, this 8 came without an Owners Handbook, so I'm having a bit of headscratch getting to grips with its electrickery (mostly relatively simple I'm pleased to say!) & am looking around for a handbook.
As I'm a probationary member I cant download anything yet, so could somebuddy perhaps ping me with a PM to advise where I can Buy &/or download a handbook please?
CIAO for now

Default Welcome to Jaguar Forums

Welcome BrooC ... and greetings from a fellow enthusiast in Australia.

Great to hear you enjoying the XJ8 and I encourage you to jump over to the XJ model specific section where there is plenty to read and absorb ... also, to visit the NZ regional section shared by other members in your area ... and finally, add your car details to your signature as a permanent flag to enable other members to offer accurate advice ... from Main Menu, click <User CP> then <Edit Signature>.

Post high, wide and handsome to get that initial posting period behind you (or perhaps our Admin Jim will upgrade you) so that you can get your hands on the download of manuals you are after.

All that remains is to dive into the forum ... and enjoy!

Best wishes,
Ken

Hi Bruce, Welcome to the forum.
When you get a chance drop into the NZ forum and post in the new intro's thread there.
There are a few members in the north Island not too far north of you.(Hamilton,Huntly,Otorohanga and Pukekohe) that I have come across so far.

Welcome to Jaguar land.

Nice car the XJ8.
