Hi all. I've only posted a couple of times today for the first time, but I've been lurking for a couple of years since I bought my 2004 S-type in 2010 with 60k miles. It now has 105k miles and I have performed myself many of the small repairs that these cars seem to require of us, lol. First, I'd like to thank some members who posted writeups on their experiences that helped me get through my own, including ccc, joycesjag, and I'm sure I'm missing some others.

I've done my own transmission oil and sleeve changes, IMT o-ring replacement, and more! So thanks to all that post great tutorials here.

As I posted in another thread today, my latest issue is with a recurring P0783 code for past couple of months. I did the transmission oil change mentioned above but still get the code. I clear it, it comes back. Transmission is not showing any other particular signs. I called Jaguar of North Scottsdale dealer today and they told me with 105k miles, a TCM reflash runs the risk of making the transmission get stuck in a gear permanently. This seems odd to me. Has anyone else ever heard of such a thing?
