Name's Jim, just purchased my 2000 3.0l model last week, and have a few issues/concerns so im hoping that the forum will be a positive way to figure out and learn things about this vehicle.

I have a history with Nissan sports cars, but this is my first sedan ever.... Im generally able to accomplish all car related tasks, but a few things have me baffled at the moment....

Mainly, issue with the lack of heat, and with harness diagrams/ pinouts, at the moment specifically pertaining to the dashboard and stereo area.

I had installed a Kenwood in-dash DVD unit this morning, but only got the constant 12v, switched 12v, and grounded the unit to the common ground bolted underneith the center console. I cannot find an accurate wiring diagram of the speakers.

Since doing this, i have a oil light and brake light on, on the cluster. My front blinkers do not work (the backs do). And the headlights stay on when i take the key out of the ignition, had to disconnect the battery negative when i got to work tonight.

Ill take some time now to browse and see what is available to me throughout the forum, but if anyone had info, please let me know....

Otherwise, i love the car, got it for $3400 with just 93k miles on it, no dents or accidents.

I'm sorry to hear about your issues. You should start a thread in the S-Type tech forum identifying whether your vehicle is fitted with the Standard or Premium Audio system (the Premium has a power amplifier in the luggage compartment) and exactly what harness connections you have made to the Kenwood in-dash DVD.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
