Default New S-type Owner

Hi Jag Fans! Well, my loving wife got tired of driving the mini-van to work. She works in advertising for a local radio station and wanted something nice. So... I noticed my father-in-law had a used 2000 S-type on his car lot (forgot to mention that my father-in-law owns a used car dealership). We worked out a deal and my wife has an early Christmas present. It's black and has a tan interior and the 4.0L engine. She is thrilled and decided to name it Jezebel! (note the forum name). Already noticed a ton of informaton about the S-type model. Love the site!

Thanks,
James

Welcome to the forum.

Handy to have a father-in-law like that.

Plenty for you in the S Type section.

Default Welcome

As a onetime & longtime North Carolinian, welcome. This is a great site for learning more about your S-Type. I've had my '06 for nearly 2 years and still think it's great. I haven't been wild about the look of the XF...so this is the car.

Thanks Gang for the warm welcome!

We drove our Jezebel to an auction recently and noticed on the way home that the drivers side never got any hot air. Thanks to the forum FAQ and links on the S-type, I was able to direct my father-in-laws mechanics to the DCCV. So I've got my first scheduled maintance on our new Jag.

Now to figure out what to do with that brick of an old phone in the armrest!

Thanks for the Upgrade Jim!! I'll see if I can get some pics soon... hard to do when my lovely wife is constantly driving Jezebel around.

Hmmm..... you want to visit Scotland? I could do with checking out America.....perhaps we could do a house swap for a few weeks?....lol

As for getting pics of the car? You could also consider getting her to pose with the car for our girls on cars section....don't forget to add one of you / wife in the mug shot thread too.

All the best James

Hey Jim,
Careful what you ask for, we might just do it, however, I live in a hundred year old 2 story building in the "business district"! 2nd floor is the "residence" and the 1st floor is going to be an art gallery and coffee shop. Hope to open spring of 2012. Espresso machine due to arrive in 2 weeks. I'll include pics of the "Bar" and Espresso machine when it arrives.
Pic or two of wife on car...a la "whitesnake" video...got it. I'll see what I can do..(wink, wink, nudge nudge).

Hmm,
If Jim is going to be serving coffee and buns, I might need to mosey up there!
Might not be a very relaxing holiday though.
