Hi all! My name is Alan and I live in between Houston and Austin in Texas. I've had an assorted variety of vehicles in the past and have been a member of several various groups, ie... Thunderbird Super Coupe Club, Dodge Truck World, Land Rover Forums, Cherokee SRT8 Forum. I have owned a couple of Jaguars in the past; a 1984 XJS, and a 2004 X-Type. The XJS was a big beast, more than just a little problematic, but probably one of my all tame favorites. Just purchased a 2004 S-Type R and have been poking around this sight looking for information. Seem to be some good and knowledgeable folks here so it just made sense to go ahead and join. I'll say in advance that I appreciate your patience while I stumble around and learn the nuances of this forum.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm currently in the fortunate position of not really needing anything for the car, (or not yet being aware that I do), just adding personal enhancements. I do have questions about some projects I want to take on but I first want to scan the forums thoroughly to see if the answers already exist. I know from my involvement with previous forums the members frown on rendundant questions by the newbies. There's a lot of information here so it may take me several days to sort through it before I start asking questions of my own. I'm assuming that this is about the last time I communicate in the new member forum. From this point forward I present my requests in the appropriate specific forums, correct?
