Default new from Vancouver BC

Looked around and decided to join. Don't own a Jaguar yet, looking for the right one. My Dad had Vanden Plas in 84, he bought it brand new. He traded it in on a Porsche 928S in 85. Jaguar dealer in Vancouver was also Porsche. 86 my Father purchased my Mom a Vanden Plas for her birthday. Partly because he missed the Jag. She kept that one until 90, traded for a BMW 325ic, my mother has no taste and preferred the BMW over an XJS!!!!!! I've always missed both Jags. Bought an 86 XJ6 in 97, but sold it on a few years latter. The six is nice but I like the 12 more. I learned to drive on my Mother's Jag. Anyway its time for another.

Just got off the phone with my Dad. Said his 84 XJ12 series III VDP was $72,000 CDN. Same model on my Moms was $75,000 in 86. In 80's dollars that was a lot of money.

Hi Poncho and welcome from a fellow Canadian. There's certainly lots of us here and the West Coast/BC/ Vancouver area is quite well represented. You should have no trouble finding the perfect car for yourself.

There's a link in my sig for our dedicated regional section. Please drop by once in a while!

Thanks for the welcoming. I watch Craigslist, Autotrader U.S. and Canada, EBay motors. I've never seen a XJ12 series III for sale in the states but I look anyway. The ones I've seen haven't been that nice, cracked wood and rust spots. Want maybe not showroom, very clean, just above daily driver.
