Default New XJ6 X300 owner

Hello,

I'm from Pittsburgh PA and just picked up a '96 XJ6 with 84k miles on it. Spindrift white with Oatmeal (corrected and updated) interior. Its in pretty good shape, with only real damage being the DS mirror (paint) and the front bumper has some damage. It also has the usual faulty cupholder, clock, and sagging headliner. The CD play may not work either but haven't really checked that (PO said he couldn't get it to work for him).

I have a little experience with XJS's but mostly with Porsches so the XJ6 is new to me and I am eager to learn more about them, their required maintenance, etc.

Judging from what records I have, the car will need an oil change, trans flush/filter, coolant flush, brake fluid flush to start.

I'll post pictures when I get some good ones.
That's it for now.

Welcome to the forum Todd951968,

You'll need to know the exact paint and trim shades for the repairs. The codes for these should be on the manufacturer's label on the driver's door pillar. If you post the codes to the X300 section, the guys will advise the colour names.

Follow this link XJ X300 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X300 section for help, advice and information.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US North East Region section by following this link North East US - ME NH VT MA RI CT NJ NY PA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.
