I guess the third time is the CHARM. I had a 1952 XK120 roadster shortly after I graduated from high school, a guy at work sold it to me for $800.00 in 1964 (yes 1964). I then had a 1965 E-type in 1970 for a few years and then several other disconnected vehicles (47 in total over the years). About 6 months ago, for some reason, I became enamored with the XK (X150) and started looking for one. I'm in south Florida and did not want a dark interior nor a black car but I did want a coupe. I also am on my second MGB GT and my local british car tech suggest the only years to have would be with 4.2 engine and to keep service simple preferable a NA engine.
It has taken all this time to finally find the right car, a
n early 2007 Liquid Silver with caramel and with the wood trim on the steering wheel. The car has always been in SoCal with 2 previous owners and now has 82,000 miles with all the service done by 2 Jag dealers our there. I have enjoyed all the info from fellow members on the forum while looking for the right car and look forward to participating in the future.
