Just registered today so thought I better say hello.
Currently running an 03 S Type 4.2 V8. Been a Jag lover for years - still got an 81 XJS with a genuine 44k miles only - one day I'll get it back on the road but for now I've a few coolant loss problems to sort on the S.

Welcome jhdee! Keep in mind, the 4.2 engine from the s-type is the same as the xk8/r as well, so if you want to broaden your learning/understanding, be sure to subscribe to that are of the forum as well. Lots of us have had coolant losses and we've talked about them over there. Expansion tank cracks, thermostat housing (tough to see!) and my water pump just went out (weeping pretty good).
