Newbie with a 1993 Sovereign Xj6
Hey all
Just picked up a 1993 Kingfisher Green XJ6 with 81,800 original miles. For a song. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/i...n_speaker1.gif It needs a few fixer upper items and possibly a big ticket item but not sure quite yet. I live in Oregon (beautiful NW corner of the US) and love the car so far.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Hey Jeff - Welcome from just up the road in Washington!! My first Jag was a 1993 XJ6 VDP in Kingfisher Blue (that's the official color name, even though I agree that it looks more green than blue). My humble opinion is that Kingfisher "Teal" is by far the most beautiful color Jaguar ever used. One tip I will give you is to keep it waxed (and garaged if you can) so the UV doesn't destroy the clear coat. Once it starts to peel, the color coat fades real fast. You've got a really nice, solid ride there. The folks on the XJ40 Forum will take good care of you.

Jeff, welcome the forum. Green is a good color. You'll blend right in in Oregon.
I live in oregon as well, but spend a lot of time in an adjacent state (the one directly south of oregon). You near Portland or in Portland?
Ah, yes. If you see a Zircon X350 cruising through in a couple weeks, it'll be my bride and I heading for the beach at Lincoln City. We're thinking of spending a night in Dundee and sampling a bit of the local Pinot-noir.
Cheers,
