My apolgies to all for not introducing myself properly.
Am a Englishman living in Georgia, working in Jacksonville Florida, ex military and a lover of the baby jag.
2004 x-type in platinum silver i think thats what its called.
i have 91000 plus miles on the clock with out one hiccup.
i am going to change the belts this weekend as i think its about time. Georgia heat and humidity tends to rot rubber.
transmission is smooth hardly feel the change up. still on original ATF. but again i think i should change this out. intend to do the rear diff at the same time.
going with Royal Purple for the diff and Mobil 1 synthetic for the Transmission.
i change the oil at 4-5000 miles and i mainly drive interstate.
the only bad thing i will say about the car is what idiot designed those headlight aiming tabs? so far no luck in finding a reliable source for replacements, i tried motorcarltd i think its called as they supposedly have some but no luck. am thinking of throwing the headlights out and trying to find something similar i can retrofit.
