Hello everyone, my name is Sanchez and I live in Central Florida. I am a recently retired person and decided to move to Florida. Been here for close to two years and recently purchased a 1985 Jaguar XJ6.


Since purchasing the car, I have joined this forum to get and insight to the common problems with this car. I have some mechanical skills but never on Jaguar cars. I own a 1978 MGB(which I am restoring at this time), a 1998 Cadillac Eldorado on which I just repaired the Northstar engine, and a Chevy Equinox.


Being a glutton for punishment, I purchased the XJ6, because the MGB project is almost complete so I needed something else to keep me busy.


As I go along, I will enumerate the issues i encounter with the car.
I am young enough to work on this car but old enough to know better.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
