Hello!

I'm a first-time Jag owner of three weeks now. It's a 1999 XK8 convertible and 82,000 miles. I'm trying to get into a British mindset so I can figure out whether everything works as designed or whether I need technical help.

The ride is great; the engine note is manly especially with the top (hood?) down. I have lots of technical questions but will search the posts before asking what's probably been asked and answered weekly since 1999.

Looking forward to chatting and sharing.

Welcome to the forum.

Good to have you with us.

Everything should work as designed, although maybe not quite as expected.

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you with us.
You may regret it if you master the British mindset!

If you haven't already done so you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

I drove the car today and I'm getting used to the handling qualities. A far cry from my Austin Healy back in 1967. This one's a real thoroughbred. The power is awesome. I just wish I could figure out how to convince the window to go back up when I close the door after it dips when I get out.

I appreciate your welcome messages and I'm anxious to become a full member. Best regards to all.
