Default Newbie from Durham, NC

Greetings,

I'm just about to go pick up my first Jaguar, a 2004 XJ8 VDP. I'm excited to be a Jaguar owner and am looking forward to being a member of this club. Having belonged to a number of car clubs in the past, I'm confident that getting to know many of you will result in a wealth of knowledge about the ownership experience. Thank you in advance for all of your help.

Smitty

Yikes! I think you misunderstood. I'm from Durham, NC, USA-not the UK. Oh well, at least my car is, right?

OK, Durham, North Carolina, but the car is from Birmingham, England ! I have a UK friend who used to live in Charlotte for work. He married a NC girl recently and is now in Lancaster, PA.

I can't persuade him to buy a Jaguar though, even though I bought his MG Midget !

Welcome Smitty. You are just around the block from me. I'm near Apex and I go to Southpointe once a week for bar trivia so I'm familiar with the Durham area. You ever get out to Cars and Coffee in Briar Creek. If you see a Quartz STR driving around thats probably me. I try to make Cars and Coffee every month but sometimes I ride my bike instead of drive.
