Default Newbie and First Jag

Hi,

I am the new (proud) owner of a 2005 X-type Sportwagon that I acquired two weeks ago. Car has 66K miles, British Racing Green and is in pretty good shape with no apparent (to me) issues.

Love the looks, smoothness and handling of the car, though it is a bit rougher on bad road surfaces than my previous ride (Saab 9-5 SE). Perhaps the 17 inch wheels are contributing to that. Love the interior. Car has a few options including heated seats (a must in Utah winters), subwoofer, trip computer and garage opener.

I have begun my usual round of maintenance when I acquire a used car, beginning with fluid changes and fixing a couple of minor trim pieces that were broken (vanity mirror flap and light switch bezel). Already read a lot of great posts in the FAQ for this model.

Looking forward to keeping this car on the road for a long time.

All the Best,

Eric Irvine

Smile Thanks Jim

Jim,

Thanks for the welcome. BTW, where in Glasgow are you? I grew up in Clydebank then moved to Alexandria for a while before wandering around a few places in the world and ending up here in Utah.

awrabest,

Eric
