Default newbie to the jag scene from Western australia

Well Gday is the first word i'll say :0

Big car head mainly into American iron but have always had a thing for jags. Came close as a young bloke to buyimng a few XJS jags but never took the plunge and I adore the 420 series from the sixties.

a few months ago i was in the market for a new "Daily driver" and found this baby sitting in a shed in perth, low KM (for age) and the look is me through and through. With the price of S types new i never thought I'd be able to buy one as a street hack but here i am

Question to the smark guys and gals around. i don't seem to be able to find any pics or info on this car. its a 4.0 litre V8 Auto, has colour coded grille and black trim instead of grey. To look at it looks like a "Sports" but any info I can find says "they only came out in v6 in Australia. any help would be appreciated

G'day to you and welcome to the forum,

The S-Type looks great. Not surprised you went for it.

Follow this link to S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum section. The guys there will help with model info.

Welcome to the forum Lee,

Good to have you with us.
It does sound like a sport, but they had body colour corner mouldings. Maybe not in OZ?

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

yeah it seems to be a "tick box" car, i may be wrong ( I often am) theres paperwork in the glovebox for "premium sound" but other than that the books don't really show alot. I think ill take this to the experts on the s type section
