S Type Rear Brake Caliper problem
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and have a question. I'm tying to replace the brakes on a 2003 S Type V8. I purchased disks and pads. I've removed the disk no problem. Outside pad worn to the metal. The problem I'm having is retracting the piston on the caliper. I've purchased a tool to turn the piston. Turning the piston does not retract it. The tool I have is not like the JTIS one. It does not push and turn. I've read some of the FAQ's and most say you need to turn the piston, but do you have to force the piston in at the same time? Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated. T.W.

The piston does need to pushed as well as turned, I believe that Autozone will rent a tool to do this.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
