Newbie in Kentucky
2009 XF Lux. We were originally looking for an Audi but drove the XF based on looks first. Drove the Audi A6 next and there was no comparison. Went back and bought the XF. Liked the 2009 so much after driving it 10,000 miles added a 2010 XF Lux that had been a dealer demo. Very happy with both cars, so far. A few minor radio/electrical issues with the 2009 but the dealer in Louisville has been very responsive.
Project car is a 1971 XKE 2+2 V12. Hadn't run in 18 years. Got the engine unseized, and two carbs rebuilt so far. It runs, but lots of work to do.
I owned a few English cars in my younger days (Bug-Eyed Sprite, Consul, TR7) and my concern with the XF's in the future is reliability. If Jaguar has improved the reliability issues of the past, these cars should be unbeatable. That said, I do expect a high performance car to require a bit more maintenance than a Honda Accord.
Lots of great info on this Forum - Thanks!
