Newbie from North West England
Hi all.
Other than the 1998 XJR I'm picking up soon to break (terminal rust), I don't actually own a Jaguar. I'm taking the AJ-V8 out of it for transplantation into my 1992 Volvo 240 estate, and have joined to get some more info on the S Type V6 diesel transmission swap. I was always going to use standalone engine management, so that is not a problem, and will possibly convert it to air/air intercooling and ditch the chargecooling system, although time and budget will tell on that front.
I do almost all my own fabrication apart from machining & ally welding, as I have neither a lathe nor a TIG.
My enthusiasm is not matched by my budget, sadly, so things are generally done slowly and carefully to avoid expensive mistakes, hence joining here to find out more about the manual conversion.
