Default Newbie from Western Australia

Hi everyone - I have just bought my first Jag, never thought I would ever own such a beautiful car but the motoring gods must have deemed me worthy! Cars have only ever been a mode of transport for me, motorcycles have always been my first love. I have owned various models of Ducati for 30 years or so, but now have a couple of trusty old Suzukis with sidecars attached. I ride with a few other sidecar enthusiasts and we go touring offroad - the less bitumen the better!

I bought the S-Type from a friend, and have quickly fallen in love with it (she? he? my mum calls it Mick...Mick Jaguar). I have had the car three months and have really enjoyed getting to know a completely different machine to ones I have owned before. I intend to do my own servicing, the more hands on you are the more in touch you are with how things are going with the vehicle.

The forum has already helped me with a couple of issues (parking pawl and climate control module) and hopefully i can return the favour one day. Cheers

Welcome to the forum Barbara,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type tech forum so there's no meed fora link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
