Newbie - XKR (X100) owner.
Hi all,
Thought I'd drop in and introduce myself.
Have just bought myself a year 2000 antigua blue XKR. Originally started out looking for a 944 Turbo or 968 as a weekend toy to go with my Range Rover, but my original budget wasn't going to get me a car in the condition I was after...so I upped it a bit.
Then I realised I was getting close to XKR money...so I upped it a bit more and bought myself this beauty!
Pick her up on Tuesday -
Mechanically she's very sound - timing chains and tensioners done - and solid Jag main dealer history - bar the last stamp at The Jag Centre in Norwich, who I guess know what they're doing!
Leather needs a little TLC on the drivers seat and the Detroit wheels need some attention to be perfect (I know all about the cost of doing these and the polished rims etc etc) but I bought the car to give me something to do over the next few months (as well as DRIVE obviously)!
Oh...and as a joining gift to the forum, I've pulled together the XK8 handbooks (drivers, care and audio) from Topix into 3 complete PDF files. I did a few searches on the forum and couldn't find this in soft copy all in one place (could find just about every other handbook though)! Hope it's handy - apologies if it does exist somewhere already - but if it does, no harm done I guess!

Looking forward to becoming an active member over the coming months!
Joe.
