Newby from Tennessee
Hello there,
My name is Randy and I just purchased my first Jaguar
after researching them for several years.
She is a true commonwealth Duchess clothed in a Quartz metallic
gown with Vanden Plas accoutrement. She glides the highways
with style and grace and accepts the occasional compliment with
the reserve expected from royalty.
It is good to be in such a well informed and spirited group and I aspire to
be the same.

Welcome to the forum Randy,
(I've moved your Intro from the end of dkalef's to a new thread of your own)
Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.
I see from your profile you have a 2003 XJR. This was a model changeover year so you could have one of the last of the steel bodied X308's or an early aluminium bodied X350.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-x308-xj8-xjr-27/ to the X308 or this one https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...j6-xj8-xjr-28/ to the X350 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Southern Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/southern-midwest-ar-la-ms-ky-tn-al-67/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Something that came as a surprise was the quiet that accompanies the agility and power. I have owned and driven many cars with more power but none as refined and polite.
