Not a new Jag owner; but new to this forum.
Good evening! Depending on where you live... My name is Anthony; a 26 year old who loves his Jaguars. Currently on my 7th one; a 2003 X-Type. I've owned a Series "2.5" XJ6 (1979; mid-year intro...had series 2 and 3 combined), an '85 S3 XJ6, 3 different XJ40 variants, a 2000 XJ8 Vanden Plas, and now the X.
I'm a used car assistant manager; have worked in the car business since I was 16 and always will. I'm also very fortunate to have an amazing girlfriend who is into cars as much as I am...and loves the Jags. She is so a keeper
I look forward to many fun and informative interactions with all of you; as well as contributing back to this community.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.
One other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.

Hi, Anthony,
Welcome to the Forum.....glad to see that you are based here in Washington State.
For such a young fellow you sure have had plenty of Jaguars, let alone cars!
I am in process of purchasing a really near perfect 2000 Vanden Plas, and am so pleased with it. Just awaiting the registration paperwork from the seller.
Question: From your experience for our roads and weather what octane gasoline do you recommend? I have seen various suggestions. Also what brand gasoline would you suggest?
And finally do you know any top-rate Jaguar mechanics near to Seattle or near you that would be worth patronizing?
Good luck with your 2003 X-Type.....and congratulations on your auto loving "keeper"......
Best wishes,
Peter

Peter3rd; my Jaguars only get premium. Due to both the car's fuel filler saying it as well as my own mental confidence I got the best I could for my pride and joy. For fueling; Chevron is always my 1st choice, and I have used 76 and have had good luck with them as well. I stay away from any "bargain, no-name" stations...my old Prelude hardly ran on that stuff, and those can run on anything! Lol.
Keeping in mind I live ten minutes from Portland, Oregon, the only shop I will personally trust with the keys to my Jaguars if I don't undertake a project is a place called The Jag Shop located in Portland. Extremely knowledgable, and have never had a complaint or problem with a repair.
