Old Car Guy - New Jag Owner
Thanks for all the help this site has already given me by just reading the threads related to my problems.
About me: I'm an old car guy. I've always had a car or two to fool around with. Some I restored, some I customized. And a fairly wide range of cars, from early American muscle, through Porche, BMW, Lotus, etc. I loved them all.
And now I have a 1998 XK8 coupe. White exterior with tan leather and in very good condition both exterior and interior.
Now if I can just get it to run right.....
Glad to be here,
Thanks,
OldFart

welcome to our site oldfart, great to have a car enthusiast here with us.
good intro......looks we may learn as much from you as you may get from our posts...
The XK section is awesome, full of great members....all good
Loads going on, plenty of very friendly and helpful members as well as some excellent tech advice......all good!
In the meantime I've manually upgraded you to full forum access so you can better view the site
Thanks for the welcome Jim.
I posted a thread on a problem I'm having and have high hopes that someone will be able to help me out. No replies as yet, but I try to keep in mind there's a pretty good time diference between where I am and most other members.
Is there any way to get a particular persons attention? In my past surfing of the site, it appears that Gus usually has some pretty good ideas.
Can you help me out & forward my post: "Yep - Yet another Failsafe issue" to him?
Thanks,
OldFart

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.
One other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.

I did edit my signature as you suggested.
In the meantime, I could use some advice on how to get some help with my car. Both I and a very qualified mechanic are scratching our heads at this point.
The post describing the problems is entitled:
"Yep - Yet another Failsafe problem".
Any advice you could provide will be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Oldfart
