Default Old Jag, New Love

I just bought a 93 xj6 sovereign...I feel like I should have a Corgie in the seat beside me!!! My first Jag & yeah, I'm a girl...wait I'm drivin a Jag, I'm a Lady!....But, I have questions...my fuel filler area is pooling with water, where's the drain hole? It seems to be also feeding into my trunk area..my trunk lid carpet is damp when there's water in my fuel cap area (trunk gaskets look great). Any advice?

Welcome, nice to see girls drive Jags
Your carpet is damp that might be from bad linings or your trunk is somehow not fully closed (that's a far fetched idea though

Welcome to the forum,

My brother in law lives in Highland, almost your next door neighbour!

You should post your question in the XJ section you will get a better response there.

Welcome to the forum, OK here is not for tech questions, see above, but if you look towards the back of the rubber gasket in the filler neck, there is a drain hole with a pipe leading from it through your trunk to the outside.

Carefully, give it a poke with a bit of stiff thin wire (leaves and crud collect here). However it sounds like your pipe may have come off or is leaking, this would cause water to get into your trunk.

For a longer reply you need to post into the XJ40 section.
