When my 53 yo son was a teenager he occasionally used to whine "I wish I had" xxx, to which I used to answer "I wish I had a Jaguar, but I don't".
Well, at 77 years of age I finally do. A bit long in the tooth, as I am as well, too old to be a late model and too young to be an antique, but in terrific shape for a 2007, with 68,000 mi. Glad to be here, and hope to be actively contributing soon.

Welcome to the forum alsenor,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X308 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Glad you finally got yourself a Jaguar! I had an XK-150 for a few years when I was young and have constantly lusted for another Jag, all these years. Forty years later, I finally got one. Really can't afford it but--dammit--bought it anyway! I am enjoying mine and hope you get a lot of pleasure out of yours, too!

Thank you. I feel my XJ8 is not a luxury, but devalued enough in purchase price, and very economical in operation to afford. If I had bought a later model car of any kind for road trips the overall cost would be much higher.
