Padre788
Hello everyone, I'm a new member to the forum, and just bought a 2004 XJ8 that I am very happy with. The radio is terrible (little to no reception on am). Not like my older 84 that could connect to Texas with no problem. Also, yesterday, all of a sudden the temperature gauze peaked and the engine started cutting out. We had been driving for about 1 1/2 hours in heavy traffic with no problem, then when we had clear traffic an hit 80 the temp peaked. We stopped an I checked the reservoir and it was full. Waited 5 minutes and started the engine and all was well. Any ideas what could have caused this?
Thanks Elinore, all help is gratefully acknowledged.

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Put the radio to the back of your mind for the moment and investigate the cause of the temperature peak. Overheating Jaguars can lead to some very expensive trouble.
