Pickin' up my 2012 XK Conv on Sunday!
Hi.. I'm new to Jag. I'm picking up my 2012 XK on Sunday. I'm totally freaking out about dents, dings and morons! I've purchased "DoorShox," "Bumper Bully," and BumpShox. I've also told my husband that once a year we get "removal" of all unsightly marks to my new baby.
Besides therapy, does anyone have any other suggestions?

I share your concern, even though my car is nearly 40 years old. In fact, I can only think of one person on the whole forum who doesn't worry about dings -- Yet.
However, I don't put any of those "sox" on my car as I think they detract from its beauty. Not only that, in this part of the world, that's like waving a red flag at a bull, and increases the likelihood of a mishap; perhaps deliberate for spite.
I'm *Very* careful where I park:
Far out away from the front door so it's inconvenient for people and less likely some irresponsible person will fling a door open and bash it. This also encourages me and husband to walk to the store.
NOT close to the shopping cart corral.
On the end of the line next to a curb if at all possible and as far over as I can get so I only need worry about one side.
I keep it clean and polished so people are more conscious of it and that it's a well cared for car. This enhances their own sense of responsibility and they're generally more careful.
Even at that, you might get the occasional ding but they'll be kept to a minimum.
Welcome from ElinorB.
