Ever since I can remember, I always wanted a Jag. There was something alluring and prestigious at the same time about this car, especially for me, the XJS. Still, I never thought I'd own one - it was a dream, in the same category of winning the lotto.

Finally in 2002, I was in the market for a new car but a Jag was still out of reach for me. A friend of mine suggested I look at used Jags, but I was hesitant. For one thing, I had owned one used car before and it turned out to be quite the 'lemon'. Second, I had heard stories about maintenance issues.

Nevertheless, I saw an ad for a 1999 XK8, only 13k miles. To make a long story short, I realized a dream. Wow! It was a proud moment.

Congratulations on the XK8. At 13k miles it's barely run in!
